Today we played our last match against Bey Lea at LCC.
Although we fought hard, the score was LCC 22.5 and BL 31.5.
We just made it inside as the thunder and rain began.
We wish to thank everyone for a great season. You are all so enthusiastic, accommodating, and competitive players!
At every match, the opposing teams comment upon how welcoming we are and how much they enjoy our matches together.
When the final results for all of the teams are completed we will send them out.
Again thank you for a great season. It seems to have ended much too quickly.

Thursday August 10
Lakewood versus Greenbriar at Greenbriar
Thank you to our warriors, Lu; Mary; Cindy; Ellen; Kathy and Pauline. You fought off the rain and battled valiantly against our opponents. Considering we gave up strokes in all three flights, Lu and Mary managed to win with 9.5 pts; Cindy and Ellen took 7.5 and Kathy and Pauline took 8. Final score: LCC 25 - Greenbriar 29.
Although we have one match left, there are still many games to be played before we will know our standings. As soon as we hear updated results, we will let you know.
Proud to be your captains,
Dot and Diane

Friday, July 21st,
LCC hosted the Spring Meadow Interclub Team. Unfortunately, they beat us 29 to 25, however, we had a great day.
Our team (Lu, Mary, Kathi, Ann, Dot, and Diane) and the SM team drove to the course, not having much hope that we would be able to play a full round. The weather reports were ominous, and it was pouring when we arrived.
We had more rain gear among us than any golf store, and Bonnie Morgan sported a blue tarp atop her cart.
Definitely a motivated and perseverant group of ladies!
As we finished the first hole, suddenly the rain stopped and the sky turned blue. Who would have thought???
Thank you all for coming out to play. We will send the updated IC results once we receive them.
Dot and Diane

July 6: another hot as blazes day
Congratulations Team!! Today was a great win for LCC. All of our
players brought their A+ game with them. Next time you see Pauline,
ask her about her "unbelievable" 3 wood shot through the trees
on hole #17, after finding her t-shot. We had a very enjoyable
time playing and having lunch with our Westlake guests. They are
a very pleasant group. The weather was much improved over yesterday.
Thank you all for coming out to play. When we receive the latest
standings, we will send them out. Our next match is a makeup
game with S.M. scheduled for July 21st. Diane and Dot
I have attached the IC standings as of Friday. It could not be closer and we have the advantage of playing 3 matches at home. Just to confirm, the cancelled match was rescheduled with the same players for July 7th. The june 23rd match against SM at LCC is:
Jo and Mary?
Dean and Pagano
Rodrick and Haviland

Wednesday, May 24th LCC played Eagle Ridge in our second Interclub match.
The final result was a tie between both teams. We played The Pines and The Links courses.
Mary and Jo represented our A flight: 9.5 to 8.5.
Ellen and Ann represented our B flight: 10.5 to 7.5.
Kathy B. and Diane represented our C flight: 7 to 11.
This is a great beginning as our first two matches were at difficult courses. Our next two matches are at home. Another great job by the team! Thanks for all of your efforts and arranging your busy schedules to play. Our next match in Friday, June 9th. We will check our players’ availability and send out an email. I mailed a check to the Interclub treasurer to cover the $10.00 per player fee. Next Thursday, you can pay me. Diane and Dot

Thursday, May 18th LCC played its first Interclub match against Jumplng Brook.
The final result was a tie between both teams.
- Mary and Ellen represented our A flight: 6.5 to 11.5 - It is difficult for our fearless Fentonator to give up 12 stokes especially at an away course. She is just too good!
- Kathi and Cindy represented our B flight: 9 to 9 - Great job to match the home ladies.
- Pauline and Eileen represented our C flight: 11.5- 6.5 - Must have had some amazing drives and putts.
· This is a great start to our season. Jumping Brook is a difficult course with long holes, swallow-up rough, and lightning fast greens. Great job ladies! Thanks for all of your efforts on a cold and windy day. Dot (from Amsterdam) and Diane
