- Don’t move, talk or stand in the line of sight when a player is addressing or stroking the ball.
- Be certain players in front of you are out of range before hitting.
- Leave green immediately after play. Put clubs away and record scores on the next tee.
- Signal players behind your group to play through when delayed or when there is a hole open in front of you.
- Put an identification mark on your ball. Use the same ball from tee to green with the exception of Hole #12 where you may choose to use a water ball if you elect not to retrieve the ball from the hill.

OTHER MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Members are responsible to contact the Hostess by SUNDAY evening if they need to be ADDED to the tee times for that week OR need to CANCEL out for that week after having signed up.
- Members are responsible for maintaining their eligibility to qualify for all major tournaments: five (5) rounds played during the current season for all members.
- It is the responsibility of the foursome to hand in a legible, signed, dated and correctly tallied scorecard. Mark chip-ins and birdies with a circle. Upon completing 18 holes, there will be a sheet on the desk for recording CHIP-Ins, Birdies and Low Putts. Enter your name and the hole # in order to be eligible for prizes. Record the players’ name and number of lowest putts in your foursome. Then, if anyone beats that number, please write your name and number of putts on the paper. Boxes will be provided in the locker room for Weekly Game, Handicap and Tournament Score Cards. If the scorecards are not legible, they will be discarded, and that team will forfeit game or tournament eligibility.
- Players may only win the longest drive, closest to the pin and low putts once per month.
- All members must submit a legible scorecard for the Handicap Chair. The Handicap Chair will input the weekly scores for members into the GHIN system. If a player inputs their score or an incorrect score, they will be responsible to contact the GHIN manager to have the duplicate or incorrect scores corrected/removed.
- Members are to refer to the By-Laws of LCC-WGL and the USGA handbook for all rules and regulations. Refer to local/league rules as written.
- In order to win either the Club Championship (CC) or President’s Cup (PC), a member must have played five (5) weekly games before the end of the season.
- The major tournaments shall be conducted according to the established policies of the LCC-WGL.
- For the first round of the CC, the tournament committee shall randomly place players according to their flight.
- For the second and/or third rounds of the CC, the players shall be competing according to flight and their ranking in their flight after the first round; i.e., first place plays second, third plays fourth, etc.
- For the CC ties will be broken in each flight and in each place by a sudden death playoff to be arranged as soon as possible.
- For all rounds of the PC, the Hostess shall place players in mixed order, not by flights.
- For the PC a tie for 1st place will be broken by a sudden death playoff to be arranged as soon as possible.
- If questions arise during tournament play, a second ball is to be played and a written request for clarification is to be forwarded to the Rules Chair immediately after play.
- All USGA and Local Rules will apply to each game. In addition, winter rules are in effect at all times.
- Cart pairings will be decided by the foursome.
- Two scorecards will be submitted for the weekly round. One will be the Handicap card and will have the gross scores and be placed in the Handicap Card Box. The other card is the Game Card and will reflect only the specific game being played that day. This card will be placed in the Game Card Box. Both cards must be signed, attested, dated and legible. To assist with keeping the card legible, it is recommended that the line between the players’ names be used to record putts thus leaving the scoring line legible.
- All strokes for 18 holes must be entered – NO handicap adjustments are made during play. If a player does not complete a hole, she is disqualified from the game, and individual prizes for that week . NO other determination of scores is permitted.
- Each week there will be winners for the longest drive, closest to the pin and low putts. There will be a winner for the longest drive in all flights. Players may only win this contest once each month, a list of the current month long drive winners will be on the desk in the locker room prior to each round.
- Once the range for the flights has been established, the range shall NOT be changed for the season. You may, however, move from one flight to another should your individual handicap change.
- Ties for weekly games will be broken by comparing the scores of the hardest handicap holes, and the player with the lowest score will be declared the winner.
- In the case of inclement weather, if the course is open, play will proceed. To constitute a weekly game, there must be eight (8) eligible players, if there are less than eight, the game of the week will be cancelled.
